David Traines is a musician and composer whose journey began at Ferndale High School, where he developed a strong foundation in music. He further honed his skills at Wayne State University, earning both his B.A. and M.M. in Music Composition. With a passion for teaching, David has shared his expertise as an Adjunct Professor of Music at St. Clair Community College teaching Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Piano Skills, and at the Traines Music Studio where he teaches violin, viola, trumpet, french horn, euphonium, tuba, piano, music theory, and composition.
In addition to his teaching endeavors, David established himself as a versatile freelance musician, playing violin, viola, french horn, and trumpet across southeast Michigan.
As a composer, he is known for his ability to write for a wide range of ensembles, showcasing his versatility and creativity. His compositions encompass various musical genres, making him a sought-after composer for diverse musical projects. David's commitment to music education and his exceptional compositions continue to leave a lasting impact on the world of music.
